“Sparavieri” is one of the shortest paths on the island, leading directly to the sea with no significant changes in elevation. Thanks to its easy access to the sea and its large, comfortable natural granite rock terrace, Punta di Caramba at the end of Sparavieri Bay is an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing day by the sea away from busy beaches. If you stay until the evening, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset with views of the Faraglione, Montecristo and Elba islands in good weather. On a clear day, you can even see Corsica on the horizon.

Cala di Sparveri - Punta di Caramba

Hiking trail 319 starts at a bend in the provincial road (point 1), which connects Giglio Campese with the harbour and Giglio Castello. The trail is located above the campsite, just a few metres from the ‘Campeggio Campese’ bus stop.

Starting from the side of the guardrail, the trail initially descends slightly until you reach a hill with a small pine forest. After a short climb, you will reach a fork in the trail (point 2). From there, trail 318 leads up to the provincial road. However, take trail 319 through the grove, which then descends slightly alongside Sparavieri Bay towards Punta di Caramba. The final few metres to the natural granite terrace are via a short flight of steps (point 3).
