Hiking Trail n. 4: Le Vaccarecce (ancient lighthouse) - Scopeto

The hiking trail n. 4 starts at the bus stop Le Vaccarecce at an altitude of 250 meters above sea level. It runs first on the western edge of the pine forest with the ancient lighthouse on a slight slope to the locality Scopeto (172 meters a.s.l.). You walk along vineyards and will have beautiful views of the bay of Campese.

From there it goes up to the Poggio delle Serre (212 meters a.s.l.) from where you also have views of the east coast. Very suggestive are also the granite rocks that are scattered throughout this area. On the way back you can alternatively take the paved road on the eastern side of the pine forest.

Those arriving by car can park both at the bus stop and in Scopeto.

Connected Trails: From Scopeto you can also take the hiking trails 5/6 down to the northern lighthouse or trail 7 towards Giglio Campese and the Sparavieri bay.
