Trail from the beach of Giglio Campese to the Faraglione

Hiking Trail n. 15: Giglio Campese Beach - Faraglione

The path from Campese beach to the (menhir) Faraglione runs along the coast without any altitude differences, offering beautiful views of the bay, and leads also along the small sandy beach of Petroso to the pebble beach of Pozzarelli.

The entrance to the path is at the end of the beach (on the opposite side of the tower) to the jetty where ships used to be loaded with minerals. The small path meanders through the thicket and leads first into the Petroso Bay with its small sandy beach.

In this small valley starts the hiking trail 14 around the Franco Promontory. To the Faraglione, however, follow the path on the other side of the small bay, which was carved into the rocks the first few meters similar to an Alpine path. Continue along the coast and past a pick-nick point until you can see on the left side Cala dei Pozzarelli with its pebble beach. Here a short but steep and slippery path leads down. To Faraglione, on the other hand, follow the path to the right, which leads over the cliffs to a small viewing platform in front of the Faraglione.
