Welcome to ZeroMeno Diving Centre

ZeroMeno is a sports club that has been based on the island of Giglio, in the Campese area, for several years. Situated right by the sea, ZeroMeno is set in a large garden that welcomes divers into a natural setting equipped with every convenience.

The diving centre’s main activities are undoubtedly diving and snorkelling, but beyond these, our professional and experienced team will accompany you on many other activities!

Island Tour with Snorkelling

We offer a boat tour around the island every day (weather permitting), with 3–4 snorkelling stops. Join us on this three-hour adventure as we sail around Giglio, sharing the fascinating stories and legends that characterise the island along the way. We provide all the necessary equipment for you to dive in and enjoy a swim while admiring the wonders of the seabed. What’s more, your guide will explain all about the marine flora and fauna you’ll see!

Diving courses

Don’t have a diving certificate? No problem! One of our professional staff will guide and support you throughout the course. You’ll learn to dive independently and safely, while familiarising yourself with the basic rules and regulations that govern this extraordinary world.

If that isn’t enough to quench your thirst for diving, you can also take professional courses with Zeromeno to become a divemaster or assistant instructor. This could lead to a career working by the sea – and best of all, in your swimsuit and flip-flops! As we believe that scuba diving is one of the most beautiful sports in the world, we also offer courses for children aged eight and over, teaching them how to use the equipment and, most importantly, how to experience the thrill of breathing underwater!

Zeromeno Diving Centre was established as both a diving school and a meeting place for friends who share our passion for the sea, diving and spending time together. This has created a unique and diverse group.

With over 20 dive sites, Campese Bay offers divers of all levels a wide variety of clear, pristine seabeds of different types, such as Posidonia meadows, sandy bottoms and rocky areas. There are also caves teeming with seahorses, shrimp and Mediterranean wildlife, as well as shoals of fish and sunfish.

The duration of the boat trip varies depending on the site, but typically ranges from 5 to 15 minutes.

Zeromeno is also committed to environmental protection and strives to raise awareness of sustainable behaviour among all its members and friends. Every fortnight, we organise clean-up operations of the seabed for certified divers and of the beaches for everyone to remove the rubbish and plastic polluting our precious sea.

The BioApe! We’re living in a time when it’s absolutely vital to understand which actions and behaviours can help improve our planet – so why not learn about them over a nice drink? Every late afternoon, just before sunset, we hold aperitif sessions at the diving centre. These are accompanied by short marine biology lessons to help us learn about and protect the species in our seas.

DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING
Would you like to experience the sensation of breathing underwater? Discover Scuba Diving will let you take your first steps — or rather, your first fin strokes — into this world. And after that? You won’t be able to live without it!

Open Water Diver
This is our main course. Once you have completed it, you will be able to dive with a buddy without needing an instructor to accompany you.

Advanced Open Water Diver
The more you do, the more you’ll want to do! This advanced course will help you gain skills and experience.

RESCUE DIVER
How can I help a diver in trouble? Here’s how! We’ll teach you how to respond in stressful situations. Your help will be vital.

Dive Master
This is the first step towards becoming a diving professional. You will learn how to supervise activities in the water and assist instructors with training.

Once you have completed the PADI Open Water Diver course, you can gain new experiences through speciality courses. Here are a few that the ZeroMeno Diving Centre offers:

Deep Diver
Everyone wants to discover new things, and the mystery of the deep is truly fascinating. But you can’t just wing it! You need to build on the concepts learnt during the Open Water Diver course and gain experience under the guidance of more experienced divers.

Underwater Naturalist
What kind of fish just swam past us? Why does the octopus change colour when we approach it? This course will answer these questions and many more.

Digital Underwater Photographer
Have you just bought an underwater camera and want to learn how to use it? Or do you already have some experience, but want to learn new techniques? This is the right course for you!

Our diving centre is based in Giglio Campese, a small village located on the western side of the island. We are located right on the beach, near the Medici Tower.
