Welcome to Pardini's Hermitage

Hotel Pardini's Hermitage, Cala degli Alberi - Isola del Giglio

Paridini’s Hermitage was built as a summer hermitage of the Pardini family in an uncontaminated place, far from everything and only reachable by sea or on foot. In 1956 the family decided to share the villa with paying guests, and this is still the case today: a family home rather than a hotel in the traditional sense.

Our villa is located on a small rocky cove called Cala degli Alberi on the south-eastern side of the Giglio Island and is surrounded by a park-garden.

The 13 rooms are small, simply furnished but with care and nothing is missing for what you need for a holiday where most of the time you have lived outdoors. All rooms have a view of the sea or the surrounding garden; eight are in the old main house and the others in bungalows in the garden.

Our donkeys, which were once used for transportation, belong today simply to the family. Other members are about forty goats (with whose milk we make fresh cheese), cinta senese pigs and chickens. The kitchen garden is cultivated on the granite terraces between the olive trees and the old vineyard and provides our meals with fresh vegetables.

Also available for our guests are: coves equipped with deck chairs and umbrellas, thalassotherapy pool and massages in the Wellness Corner, canoeing in the nearby coves, game ping pong, bocce, archery , ceramic workshop, watercolor materials and the possibility of beautiful walks along the paths of the Isola del Giglio.

Essentially at the Hermitage you have the opportunity to take time to be with yourself or with your loved one, surrounded by nature and tranquility.

We try to keep this place out of time. The “difficult location”, which appears uncomfortable, and the passion that still sustains us, are in truth the lifeline of the Hermitage, because we want it to remain a different alternative, an “oasis” for visitors looking for a less tourist reality.

The prices (Eur 165 – EUR 195 per person full pension, min. 3 days) reflect the higher costs that insulation entails. Costs deriving from maritime transport and urban management (production, control and water purification; waste collection and disposal; lighting, maintenance and cleaning of nearby avenues and paths, of sea areas, etc.).

Water doesn’t have the pressure we’re used to in the city.

The mobiles does not always take the signal.
