Health assistance activities aimed at non-resident people on a temporary tourist stay (tourist medical guard). For EMERGENCY cases, the SERVICE 112 is always active 24 hours a day.

HEALTHCARE ACTIVITY ADDRESSED TO NON-RESIDENT PEOPLE ON A TEMPORARY TOURIST STAY

For the 2023 tourist season, due to the serious shortage of doctors which also makes the coverage of some essential services problematic, especially in internal areas, (coverage of continuity of care offices, replacements and temporary assignments of doctors assistance in prisons), it was not possible to guarantee the Tourist Guard service through the activation of specific guard posts tourist. Therefore, the tourist assistance service will be guaranteed by Primary Care Doctors(General Practitioner) , within their outpatient clinics, and by Continuity of Assistance doctors (formerly Guardia Medica), during the hours of their competence.

First Aid Point

The first aid point on Giglio Island is located in Giglio Porto Via Provinciale 45 , 58012 Giglio Porto. Open 24 hours from June to September, during the Easter holidays and May and June at the weekend. (The closest Hospital is in Orbetello +39 0564 869111)
